Piecing it Together runs until March 17 at Arts Westchester

“Collect. Cut. Manipulate. Change. Rearrange. Affix. Repurpose.

Collage is an obsessive art form with as much emphasis on process as on finished product. Piecing it Together is an exhibition of works by eight Westchester artists who exemplify the range of this quintessential modernist medium in the 21st century. Their pieced-together artworks challenge the expected and the everyday.”

ArtsWestchester in White Plains is featuring the works of 8 artists in this exhibition:

Natalya Aikens
Michael Albert
Glenn Fischer
Rima Grad
Bryan Michael Greene
Mary Ann Lomonaco
Jill Parry
Luis Perelman

I’m hoping to make it. I took a 2D design class a few semesters ago and really enjoyed the collage lessons. There’s something about the precision of the cut, and the ability to move the pieces around before they are permananent, that is so satisfying.
