This colleague of mine offers some insight on the man who was and remains our campus museum’s driving force:


Roy Neuberger was the collector for whom the Neuberger Museum of Art is named on the Purchase College campus. He passed away just last year at the age of 107 years. Known as a pioneer of mutual funds and investing, skills in his profession such as quick decision-making allowed him to do the same in the art collecting world, where he was able to make quick art buying decisions based on first impressions.
