Frick collection visitors can discover a new gallery dedicated to sculpture and decorative arts already from 25 October. The new space is the largest extension of the New York space for almost 35 years. The project resumes Henry Clay Frick’s initiative, who is the founder of the museum and wishes to create a new space for his growing collection of sculptures. The project, treated by M. Frick in 1917, could not be completed after his death in 1919. Adeas enterprise, which is in charge of the project, created an original structure and incorporated the portico of the museum garden in the architecture of the gallery. For the occasion of its opening, the gallery is hosting an exhibition dedicated to Henry Arnhold collection, including 70 Meissen porcelain pieces. In addition, there are 18th century sculptor’s Jean-Antoine Houdon pieces exhibited.
