Consortium will use cultural enterprises to anchor and enliven 34 projects around the countryfrom Detroit to Harlem. Art endeavors will receive $11.5 million in grants from the foundations and another $12 million in loans from corporations under the program financed through the private sector and coordinated in part by federal agencies. ArtPlace has brought foundations, corporations and federal agencies together to sponsor arts projects around the country.
